I thought this was a fascinating look into Viola Davis’s life and the overwhelming obstacles she had to overcome to arrive where she is today. I honestly didn’t know anything about Viola Davis and could not have identified any of her work before listening to the book. She truly rose out of the depths of poverty to attain the highest levels of entertainment success. I was touched by her honesty and vulnerability. I’m grateful to know her story and experience a small part of her life. I would recommend this for sure.

    I loved it! She truly is a fantastic actress! She suffered so much as a child and she rose above. Have you read the help? Did you know she was in that movie? Anyways, we’ll have to talk about it.
